What we really do at ADS
By: Robert Dempsey | Tags:The other day I went over to the Crummer Graduate School of Business (where I am working on my MBA) to pitch ADS to a marketing research class. My purpose was to get them excited enough about us so they would help us with a marketing plan. As I haven’t heard from them I think I might have been unsuccessful in relaying my message. Or, perhaps the Orlando Brewery with the lure of free beer was too great, so web application development lost out. Either way, it made me reflect on what it is we really do here.
The easiest way to explain it is by example.
Our first example is Front Office Box. FOB is a business solution that helps you manage sales and customer service opportunities. So what does that really mean? It means that if you use Front Office Box you have the potential to make more money as you can quickly identify opportunities at every stage. It is very easy to use and requires less time to manage information. It helps you to make more money.
Our next example is socialmarkets. The goal of socialmarkets is to bring increased transparency to the not-for-profit sector and to help not-for-profits show the social return on investment to donors. socialmarkets does more than just that though. It allows Allan Benamer and Jeff Tuller to make a living by doing something great - helping others.
Movingoffcampus.com is a great story of how a college student can take a dream, and with a little help, make it happen. Mark Sawyier started working with us when he was a senior in college. He has since graduated, and has been through a few iterations of his site. We have helped him turn his passion and ideas into a sustainable business that is taking off. +1 for entrepreneurs.
Our final example is GHive.com. GHive is an online community that brings together surfers from all over the world to share stories, pictures, videos and much more. It goes beyond the programming that runs it and creates a greater sense of community between surfers, who are already a tight knit bunch.
So what does all that mean? It means that we aren’t merely developing web apps that do a variety of things. It means that we are helping businesses to run better; we are helping people to make more money; we are helping make ideas and dreams a reality; we are helping people do what they believe in; we are helping build communities and bring people closer together.
That is what we really do at ADS.
