Hello everyone,

Source control is not just an interesting concept, it is essential for every developer who doesn’t like running into the “oh crap” factor. When I started out I would copy and paste my files into a directory on an external drive. Later I got more fancy and made a batch file that would copy them. After a lot of headaches someone told me about Subversion. At ADS use it for many projects we host on TextDrive (or other hosting company) and we also have a repository set up on our internal demo server. But what is a Windows-based developer to do until a repo gets set up? Well, after a Google search I found a great little one-click Subversion installer. I now use this on my laptop to check in code until I have a proper repo set up, preferably outside of my office network. Here is the link. Enjoy!
